The modules are pieces of code that generate contents on certain positions of your Template. In order to use a module, it is necessary to configure it from the page Extensions - Module Manager and make sure to publish it onto a visible position of your Template.

For example, if you have just installed the module to print a Search Form, you should configure it from the page Module Manager and choose the right position of your Template to display the module.

Each Module has a Title and, to make sure that the module is being displayed in the front-end, the setting Show Title should be enabled. This way it will be easy to understand if the module has been published in the right position of the Template and if it has been assigned to the correct pages. The setting Show Title is something not needed but, in order to understand if the module has been configured correctly, this is a useful way to test it. Then the setting can be disabled for a better graphical result.

If you can't get the module displayed in the front-end then you should check three main things: the Template Position where the module is published, the status of the module (should be Published) and the Menu Assignment for the Joomla Menu Items.
The modules assigned to "On All Pages" must be displayed on any page of the front-end. The assignment to No Pages will produce the same result as leaving the module Unpublished while you should pay attention if the module is assigned only to the Pages Selected. In fact, the module will be displayed only if it is assigned to the active Menu Item.
