Hello, we just finished testing our site and would like to make it live. We made a lot of testing orders and would like to cancel them, but they appear again in the order list with status "Cancelled". Is it possible to cancel them from the list and start again without these testing orders? Should I cancel them directly from the database?

Hello,
Yes, VikBooking supports the sandbox mode of PayPal, you just have to enable it from the parameters of the method of payment from the administrator section.
If it's not working for you then maybe you are not using the right login for the sandbox account.
If you would like to test the Live environment of PayPal as well then you should use a coupon to lower the total amount to be paid to a few cents.

You can choose the ordering type for the Rooms List view from the parameters of the Menu Item.
Just create a new Joomla Menu Item from the back-end and choose the type VikBooking - Rooms List then from the parameters you will be able to choose the ordering type.
The search results page instead will always be sorted by price, ascending.

If you don't want to allow bookings on certain dates of the year then you should "close" all the units of all your rooms on those dates.
You can do that from the administrator section, task Calendar. Just select the room that you want to close and tick the option "Close room on these dates".
You have do it once for every room that you have and you will see that a special booking will be generated to keep the room as not available. If you removed that booking, the room would become available again.

From the administrator section, task Calendar you can easily close the rooms on some dates of the year or register some reservations received either over the phone or from a portal. However, from the back-end it is only possible to register bookings for one room per time while if you would like to close or book some rooms with just one order then you should create the reservation from the front-end and then confirm the order from the administrator section manually.

Hi,
I have some problems with the VikBooking Search module.
In the case I define for the "Check-in" the current day then for "Check-Out" the next day will automatically filled in. In this case we run the problem that the message "Check-out Date previous than Check-in" will be shown. Any ideas? I had check that on your demo site but the behavior is diffrent because the check-out will filled automatically.

Hi,
I think your problem is simply caused by the PHP session that is reading some old Configuration settings. You should try to use a different browser so that the session will be renewed.
However, in our demo website you see that the check-out is filled automatically after selecting the check-in date because we have defined a minimum number of nights from the Configuration of VikBooking, under the Search Parameters.

you should make sure that the setting "Auto-Set Order to Confirmed" is disabled from the parameters of the method of payment PayPal. The payment response needs to be validated so that setting should always be left as disabled.
In order to use and configure PayPal you simply need to enter your account from the parameters of the method of payment. Usually it's the email address that you use to log in onto your PayPal account.
