Hi and thank you for a great component.
I'm looking to change the return url following a paypal payment so that the user is sent to a menu pag that contains a form for them to fill in. Can you tell me where I would make this change. I have root access to the server so can change the code in a file if necessary.

Hi Si,

after the transaction, PayPal redirects you to the "return" field specified during the creation of the payment form, so it is pretty easy to change it via code.

You have just to open the file /administrator/components/com_vikappointmenrts/payments/paypal.php and change the value from the line 71:
$form.="<input type=\"hidden\" name=\"return\" value=\"".$this->order_info['return_url']."\"/>\n";

In example, a correct return field could be:
$form.="<input type=\"hidden\" name=\"return\" value=\"https://extensionsforjoomla.com/after-purchase.html\"/>\n";

I have, infact, decided to keep the confirmation page as the return URL and put a link in the notes but thank you anyway. I will make a note incase things change. Appointments is an excellent and impressive component for Joomla.

Hello, recently purchased and installed Vik Appointment - As far as I know all is configured correctly but I can't seem to get it working. I even reinstalled the package and configured again. Whatever settings I do, reservation is not possible because I get the notification "This day the employee doesn't work". Have set up a time schedule (working days) still no luck. Even in the back end, dates are showing up green - but also with the notification "This day the employee doesn't work". I am doing something wrong?

Hello,

if you have already built the working days to your employees, probably you forgot to assign them your services.

You can find this problem also at the following link:

To assign a service to an employee, you have to open the service details, scroll down to the "Employees Form" and select all the employees you need from the apposite dropdown.

Hi,
I disabled reviews in configuration, but under calendar, always displays " no review" "rating" button...

is it a bug, or i forgot something ?

Hi,

it is not a bug, you are simply using the old configuration settings stored in your PHP session.

When you change something from the configuration, it is recommended to press also the "Renew Session" button to refresh the settings you are using.

Hello after trying to register one emploey I become the info
"Impossible to register a new User! Try to contact the administrator."

Hello Manolis,

this message is raised when someone tries to register a new account and the registration is not enabled from the configuration of com_users component.

To allow users to create a new account you have to:
- open the global configuration from your administrator
- click on the "Users Manager" tab on the left side
- enable the "Allow User Registration" parameter
- save the configuration

Hi,

if you need to increase the global working time, you have to change the "Opening Time" and "Closing Time" parameters from the global configuration of VikAppointments as follows:
- Opening Time = 00:00
- Closing Time = 24:00

Then, from the working days management page, you will be able to select all the hours you need.

You plugin Paypal doesn't work. When i select in frontoffice Paypal, the order is validate, but i don't have paid the order ...

How set the problem.

Hello,

when the order is automatically CONFIRMED by skipping the PayPal payment, the problem is not given from the gateway, but from the configuration of the payment.

You should open the PayPal gateway and disable the parameter "Set Auto-Confirmed".

When this parameter is enabled, the gateway tells the system to skip the payment form and to auto confirm the order.

Hi,

I recently buy a Vik Appointment and configured, every thing is working but from front end when employee trying to add Working Days, it's not working. it's not saving or removing any data into database.

when i am clicking on "Add working time" button from front end, then it's showing selected date and time into bellow section. but it's not saving into database. and not found any save button form front end.

But from Administrator panel it's working fine. and there has save button also.

i tried with Load jQuery option and without load jQuery option. but both time it's same result.

Please advise me what i will do now?

Hi,

if you are not able to see the Save button in the "Working Days" management page, probably, you disabled this kind of rule from the configuration.
You should access to the configuration of VikAppointments > Employees section.
Then, check the "Manage Profile" option which should be enabled to create or remove the working days from the front-end.

Hi,
Is it possible to setup system process by following order:
1. Customer books time, system makes order in pending status and send notification e-mail to customer and admin that new order was placed and waiting for confirmation.
2. Admin changes order status from pending to confirmed and system send e-mail to customer that order confirmed.

Hi,

yes, it is. You have just to open the global configuration of VikAppointments and change the option "Default Status" to PENDING, save the changes and press the Renew Session button.

In this way each time someone books a new order, the system creates a PENDING order and sends automatically an e-mail to the customer, to the administrator(s) and to the employees of the services booked.
Then from the administrator, or from the employee login page in the front, you have to edit the reservation by changing its status to CONFIRMED, to check the Notify Customer option to send also the e-mail to the customer and to save the changes.

Hello,

to translate the front-end of the component you have simply to copy the language file:
/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_vikappointments.ini
into:
/language/de-DE/
then you have also to rename the file in:
de-DE.com_vikappointments.ini

At this point, you have to translate all the language definitions.
A language definition is something like:
VAPCONTINUEBUTTON="Continue"
It is important that you change only the text inside the double quote (").

Hello,

unfortunately doesn't exist a quick way to swap the black colors to white. You should open the file /components/com_vikappointments/assets/css/vap-custom.css and try to force a light color for the dark element of the program.

For sure, you need also a web inspector to identify the classes or the ids of the html tags.

The vap-custom.css file is a blank file where you can insert all the changes that you want, without losing datas for the future updates.
