Hi,
I have vikbooking 1.6 (pending to upgrade to 1.8) and I have a doubt:
I have a room for 2-4 pax and I need to add different prices if the room is occuped by 2,3 or 4 pax and these prices depend of the season (in June is +15€, in July +20€..). It's possible to do this? I think that in the 1.6 version it's not possible (or I don't know how to do it), but, It's possible in the new versions?
Thanks in advance!
Regards!

Hi,
I published your first message because it could have been useful to other users. If you need any help, please open a new support ticket because the conversation is becoming misleading for other users.
VikBooking 1.7 and 1.8 do support occupancy pricing related to specific seasons or dates of the years. Please visit the Knowledge Base section at the link below to see the function you are looking for:
https://extensionsforjoomla.com/answers-area/knowledge-base/vik-booking/pricing-availability/prices-per-occupancy
If the function described in that page for the Occupancy Overrides is missing in your installation, then it means the update did not install successfully. As I said, please open a new support ticket for the issues you had with the installation of the update. Some CSS files might be missing in your case.

Hello Cris,
You must have got confused by the placeholder attribute that those input fields have (1 and 30). When you get the alert message 'Days field is empty', it means that you've set no actual number of nights for the calculation of the rates.
From the page 'Pricing - Rates Table', you should enter your rates per night in the form by following the steps below:
- Nights
-- From 1 (type 1 because the 1 you see is actually a placeholder!)
-- to 30 (same here, you need to type in 30 or any other number of nights)
- Prices per night
-- Set the cost per night for your rate plan(s)
I hope this helps!
Marco

Hi,
I have installed the 1.8 version of Vikbooking on my 3.6 site. Great job with very nice features!
I uninstalled the search modules and reinstalled the new ones.
When i publish the Vikbooking search module on a page where is also an vikcontent slider module, the slider module disappears.
E.g.
on http://www.dgh.opensol.nl/nl/ is the slider module published together with the search module => no slider
on http://www.dgh.opensol.nl/ is the slider module published and no search module => no problem.
Also the calender button does not work. Calender displays fine when clicking in the date field.
please can you help?
Elles

Hello
I´ve set up our website in german and english and all works properly, except that the room descriptions in the views roomlist and availability always show up in standard german.
English translations are done but don´t show up.
The buttons or other labels change language properly.

Hello,
If the language definitions are being translated to English and German correctly, then you should make sure to have enabled the configuration setting 'Multi-Language' in VikBooking. This way, also the contents should be translated into English beside the language definitions. Also, make sure to not have third party plugins published that could apply further translations to the contents.

Hi,
The reason why your first day of the week is not being used is because the old configuration setting is still saved in the PHP Session. After saving the configuration settings, a message is displayed saying that you should click the Renew Session button to immediately apply the changes. You can find this button in the first tab of the configuration page.
Alternatively, you can use a different browser to immediately see the new configuration settings being applied.

Hello Peter,
You can download the free update to VikBooking 1.7 from the Account Manager menu, item 'Free Updates'.
The update works with any VikBooking version so you will be able to upgrade from the v1.5 with no problems. Just remember to empty the browser cache and hit the refresh button a few times after the update will be complete as the new CSS framework will have to be loaded.
Also, we always suggest making a full back up copy of your website before installing updates.

Marco

Hi,
Eurobank ProxyPay is available only for those in posses of an 'old' Eurobank account. New accounts will no longer be compatible with ProxyPay as they are migrating to Cardlink which is a different company/gateway I guess.
You should definitely choose Eurobank Cardlink over ProxyPay but please contact the Eurobank customer care service to get further details.

Hi,
from the Configuration page, under the Search Parameters, you will find a setting for the default number of rooms. You have probably set it to 1 so just increase it for letting your clients book more than one room with one booking.
Please remember to hit the Renew Session button after saving the changes to the Configuration page so that they will be applied immediately.

The occupancy pricing related to certain dates or seasons of the year is a function that was introduced in VikBooking v1.7. The latest version available today is the 1.8 so please consider upgrading if you need this feature.
