How can I view credit card information?
Hello,I received email notification of a new reservation with "Payment Method: Offline Credit Card" and another email titled "Credit Card Information Received" but the credit card number is masked by asterisks.
How am I supposed to view the customer's credit card information in order to charge the card?
Thank you.
Alon

Hello,
For PCI-DSS Compliance reasons, the payment option "Offline Credit Card" cannot store the full PAN onto your database. Therefore, the system splits the credit card number and a part is sent via email to the administrator email address. The masked part with the asterisks that you see in Vik Booking, should be replaced with the information that you received via email.
The bookings downloaded through the channel manager instead, will not generate an email message with a part of the credit card details, but the PAN will still be masked. The remaining part of the card details will be temporarily stored on our central servers at e4jConnect, and you will be able to reconstruct the data through the apposite interface of Vik Booking or Vik Channel Manager.

Hello,
When doing a booking frontend of the site there is no problem, email content comes from "fr-FR.com_vikbooking.ini" file but when sending email from backend like clicking into the resent confirmation email button, labels are not loaded from file "fr-FR.com_vikbooking.ini" but from file "en-EN.com_vikbooking.ini".
How can I define in which language email should be sent ?
Regards, Edouard

Hello,
Joomla! uses 2 files for language translations, one for the front-end and another one for the back-end.
The front end language translation file is placed in this path:
"/language/yourlanguagetag/yourlanguagetag.com_component.ini"
The back end language translation file is placed in this path:
"/administrator/language/yourlanguagetag/yourlanguagetag.com_component.ini"
Please make sure you update the language definitions in both files, this way the emails coming from either front end or back end will be translated.
Emails will be sent in whichever language is in use, emails sent from the back end will have the back end's language, and emails sent from the front end will have the front end's language, so you only need to implement the language definitions correctly and translate the appropriate ".ini" files.
Hope this helps,
Lorenzo

Hi, i've updated the plug-in to last version.
In "Rates Overview" backend pannel i have a different visualization respect to the one in the Demo.
For example i cannot see the tabs "Lenght of stay pricing overview" and "Calendar pricing overview".
I can see them only as a list.
Have you experienced same problem?
Thanks
Lucia

Hi Alan,
Unfortunately it is not possible to force the module to search over a single category, I'm sorry. The latest version of the module lets you force the search over a specific room type but the category filter is currently displayed as a drop down menu. Ideally, you should have a hidden input field with the ID of the category to be used as filter. This would require a modification or an override of the module as you assumed.

Hi - I have received a notice from PayPal that they are changing their IPN configuration by 30-09-2015. Is this is likely to affect the PayPal payment integration used in VikBooking and other applications I have purchased from you?
If so will you be releasing an update before the PayPal release date to ensure proper functionality?
regards,
Jimmuk

Hi Jimmuk,
We are aware of the change that PayPal will perform to their IPN configuration. Our programmers will analyse their technical documentation soon and, if needed, they will release an update for any PayPal Standard integration.
Since they are just going to change their SSL certificate, the current CURL integration used by all our extensions should work just fine.

Hi Martin,
If you take a look at the administrator section of the demo website, under the Search Parameters of the Configuration page, you will see that you can set the default number of Rooms to 1 for any search form.
This way the system will not display at all the drop down menu for selecting the number of rooms.

Hi,
The Pay Now button of the check-out page is generated by the PHP file for the payment option PayPal. It's a submit button of type image with a default source that points to an image hosted by PayPal. You can easily change it to another image hosted on your own server by editing the following PHP file:
/administrator/components/com_vikbooking/payments/paypal.php
