What's the auto-ban for?

The auto-ban is used to keep your website safe from bots and users that try to login in your website with brute force or dictionary attacks.

In a few words, when someone fails the login too many times in a short time range, the system will automatically ban the IP Address of that user.

The maximum number of attempts and the time range can be defined from the Auto-Ban configuration of the plugin.

The example below shows the reports list with an auto-banned IP address.

Following the configuration described in the screenshot below, a customer will be automatically banned after failing 5 times the login within 3 minutes.
